Men Advancing the Nation (M.A.N.) Ting is another part of the overall Church strategy in helping to combat the ills and evil forces affecting our nation. The power of prayer has been going on over the years and has intensified over the last year to combat the forces of evil. M.A.N. Ting intends to complement all the spiritual and prayer initiatives that have been and continue to happen across the nation because without all these spiritual initiatives combined we will not see the new Jamaica evolve.
At this phase of M.A.N. TING we will march around the perimeter of the city.
The march is every Monday, Wednesday and Friday night from 9 p.m. to 12 midnight until we circle the city.
Each night we park our vehicles at the “end point” of that night’s march, where there will be secured parking. Anyone who parks at the “end point” will be shuttled back to the “start point”. Therefore, if a driver has other “soldiers” with him, he should take them to the “start point”, drop them off and then drive to the “end point” of that night’s march to catch the shuttle back to the “start point”.
An important aspect of spiritual warfare is the issue of authority. M.A.N. Ting is calling Christian men to take responsibility as representing spiritual authority and take back the nation from evil forces and ills. However, we the men have to be the ones to do this because spiritual authority rests with us. As it was with Adam, God gave authority to the male man and so it is the male man that must march against the forces of evil. We are marching against the enemy forces that have dominated our nation for far too long because we the men who have the legal right for earth have not taken our responsibility to subdue and dominate to the glory of God. The forces of darkness will not yield territory unless it is taken by force. Jesus won the victory for us. We must now enforce it.
We also want to send a secondary message that ‘Good Men’ will not allow a few ‘bad men’ to dominate the space and destroy the future of our women and children.
This is a war, and in war, we march. The vital elements in war are unity, obedience commitment to the battle and determination to win. Hence our need to be in unison. We will be using the weapons of our warfare – voice, rhythm, movement, praise, clapping of hands, stomping of our feet – natural symbols but of great spiritual significance.
ALL CHRISTIANS ought to be involved. M.A.N. Ting is about men leading the front line of the battle while the rest of the Body support the battle in prayer and praise.
Remember “the Sword of the Lord” is what Gideon shouted as he went to war, asking God to go to war on his behalf. It is an affirmation that the Lord is battling for us.
Following the march, the church will engage in mentorship of the men who are prepared to turn away from negative behaviours such as gun violence and crime, so they can become positive contributors to society.
